A Year of Growth, Capability, and Honest Reflection
2025 was an extremely busy and important year for Worthy Engineering. Across our workshops and divisions, we saw continued growth, strong demand, and the steady expansion of our core capabilities – particularly in the machine rebuild space.
Â
Growth in Machine Rebuilds
Throughout 2025, our Kalgoorlie HD Mechanical Workshop delivered a number of full machine rebuilds for various clients across a diverse range of equipment.
These mainly included:
- Sandvik Drills, Trucks and Loaders
- CAT Underground Trucks and Loaders
This growth reflects increasing client confidence in our ability to manage complex rebuilds in-house, delivering a quality product in practical timelines.
A key advantage in this space is having our own auto-electricians, plus component repair capability across both Kalgoorlie and Perth. By supporting major component rebuilds internally, we can better control turnaround times and manage costs – ultimately providing greater certainty for our clients.
Strengthening Our Component Repair Capability
Our Perth workshop continued to grow throughout 2025, both in team size and output. What has developed is a tight-knit group producing consistently high-quality work, supporting projects internally and externally.
Our capabilities in Perth now include: Hydraulic cylinder repair, powertrain component rebuilds, boilermaking, lineboring/machining, sandblast/paint services.
Boilermaking & Lineboring – Building Momentum
Our Kalgoorlie Boilermaking and Lineboring divisions went from strength to strength in 2025. This division has continued to build organically this year, guided by a strong leadership group focused on quality service, safety, and workmanship.
Rather than rapid expansion, these divisions have grown steadily – a deliberate approach that has helped maintain high standards and strong internal culture.
Light Vehicle Division – Consistently Busy
Our light vehicle division remained busy throughout the year, supporting clients with:
This division continues to play an important supporting role for our broader client base operating in demanding environments.
Looking Ahead – Areas for Improvement in 2026
While 2025 delivered many positives, we believe it’s important to be open about where improvement is needed.
We continue to offer Field Service, Labour Hire, and Sandblast & Paint, however these areas have been under resourced and require further development.
Our focus will be on improving structure, resourcing, and consistency in these divisions in 2026.
Moving Into 2026
As we move into 2026, Worthy Engineering remains focused on:
- Strengthening our existing relationships with our clientele by providing a good service and product
- Investing in our people with leadership, safety and process training
Thank you to our clients, suppliers, and team members who contributed to a demanding but rewarding year. We look forward to continuing to build on this foundation in 2026.
