Harper Cummings Completes His Heavy Duty Mechanic Apprenticeship

Home | Blogs | Harper Cummings Completes His Heavy Duty Mechanic Apprenticeship

Spread the love

At Worthy Engineering Services, we take immense pride in our team and their achievements.

Today, we are thrilled to celebrate Harper Cummings, our latest apprentice who has successfully completed his Heavy Duty Mechanic apprenticeship.

This milestone is not just a personal triumph for Harper but also a reflection of the supportive community that surrounds him.

Harper began his journey with us in 2019, starting with work experience that would lay the groundwork for his future career. His apprenticeship opportunity followed shortly after, thanks to the guidance and mentorship of David Boyes, the previous owner of Boyes Equipment Services. David has been a long-time family friend of Harper’s father, Matt, who played a crucial role in shaping Harper’s passion for mechanics.

Matt, a former workshop supervisor at Boyes Equipment Services, has been a significant influence in Harper’s life. Harper credits his dad for instilling in him the drive to become a mechanic and aspire to the role of workshop supervisor one day. It’s clear that family values and mentorship have been pivotal in Harper’s journey, providing him with the encouragement he needed to succeed.

Over the past year, Harper has particularly enjoyed his field service work, gaining invaluable hands-on experience that complements his training. He expresses gratitude to his previous supervisor, Michael West, for his support and guidance throughout his apprenticeship. Harper is also thankful to our new owners, Michael and Jaymi Worthington, for their commitment to fostering a positive learning environment.

When it comes to machinery, Harper has a clear favorite: the CAT D10T dozer. His passion for open-cut mining machinery repairs is evident, and we look forward to seeing how he will continue to grow in this field.

Congratulations, Harper! Your hard work and dedication have paid off, and we are excited to see where your career will take you next. At Worthy Engineering Services, we believe that investing in our apprentices is investing in the future of our industry. Harper’s success story is a testament to that belief. Here’s to many more achievements ahead!
